John Dinkel has led business development efforts and sales teams in the Mid-Atlantic region for over 25 years. From a sales management position leading a team of 25 sales executives in Troy, NY to president and publisher at the Baltimore Business Journal, John has learned that building relationships makes life and business better. By helping great people connect with one another, we create value for all involved.
In June 2017, John founded Dinkel Business Development to follow his passion of helping clients achieve their financial and professional goals through building deeper relationships, smart business development activity, and strategic planning. From networking to negotiating strategic alliances, John listens and connects organizations to help businesses grow.
Currently, John is on the board of Business Volunteers Maryland and serves on the President's Advisory Council at Stevenson University. In 2017, he was appointed by Governor Larry Hogan to the Bay Restoration Fund Advisory Committee.
In his spare time, John enjoys fishing, hiking, kayaking, and spending time with his wife, Nuala, his two boys, Gage and Gavin, his family, and friends. They love traveling in Europe, listening to great music, and savoring a pint of Guinness.
Gavin Dinkel joined Dinkel Business Development as a content specialist in 2022 after graduating from Towson University in 2021. As a DMI Certified Social Media Expert, Gavin is responsible for all content and creative services that help businesses and organizations empower their brand voices, and increase the generation of organic leads.
Gavin believes in the power of qualitative content by providing expertly written blogs, newsletters, and social posts. Given his English degree, Gavin loves reading, music, art, and history. When he is not traveling the world, Gavin resides in Cockeysville, Maryland with his partner, Jasmine, and cat, Patty-Lynn.
